Bollywood is a fickle industry, though there is fame, there is no longevity. The reigning actors of Bollywood themselves have agreed upon the frivolity of fame. But for a few, the dream ended prematurely and the once upon a time famous faces, they are now shrouded in obscurity. She debuted with 'Pardes' (1997) and has films like 'Dhadkan' (2000) and 'Lajja' (2001) to her credit. Despite this Mahima Chaudhary has been unable to become a permanent fixture in public memory. As per the reports the actress is currently shooting for an upcoming movie.
Koena made her Bollywood debut as an item girl in RGV's 'Road' (2002). Post that the actress was seen as a lead in the Fardeen Khan starrer 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena', which tanked at the Box Office. Post a blotchy nose-job the actress went to hibernation and has since not been seen in Bollywood.
Tanushree was ‘Femina Miss India Universe 2004’ title-holder and made her Bollywood debut with serial-kisser, ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne.’ The actress then went on to star in various other Bollywood movies, and then but unfortunately nothing came of it. The actress since has been working in films down south.
Dubbed as the ‘Aishwarya Rai’ look-alike, Sneha Ullal made her debut opposite Salman Khan in the 2005 dud, ‘Lucky-No Time For Love.’ Soon after that as there were no offers the actress shifted down south and has been working there since. She was recently in the news are her pictures of partying with the cricketer, Chris Gayle surfaced online.
Harbouring her childhood desire to become an actress Rimi Sen debuted in Bollywood with Vijay Gilani’s ‘Hungama’(2004), opposite Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani and Paresh Rawal. She was also the part of Salman Khan starrer, ‘Kyon Ki’, and YRF’s hit franchise ‘Dhoom’. The actress was last seen in Bigg Boss 9, from where she was evicted for apparent disinterest.
Minissha debuted in Bollywood with Yahaan and went on to a become a favourite. She was later seen in supporting roles in other Bollywood movies. Her last mainstream public appearance was in Bigg Boss 8, post that she married Ryan Tham, and is currently working in Punjabi industry.
After a thunderous debut with Aashiqui, Rahul Roy went on to deliver only flops at the box office. He was seen on the screen again in 2006, in the first season of Bigg Boss, which he won, only to disappear again. The actor has since started his own production house that released its first film in 2011.
Born to superstar father Vinod Khanna, Rahul Khanna had the world handed to him on a silver platter. He started out as a VJ with MTV Asia, and was then seen in movies like, Deepa Mehta's 1947 Earth and Bollywood/Hollywood. His last major public appearance was in Love Aaj Kal, and since then the actor has been seen a lot of public events.
He came into the public eye with the critically acclaimed debut in Maachis, which was followed by a stellar performance in Tere Mere Sapne (1996), and his innocence in Josh made him an instant hit with female fans. Since then Chandrachur Singh’s career has spiralled down in darkness and he was last seen in Zilla Ghaziabad.
Son of the legend, Feroz Khan, Fardeen is no stranger to the world of glamour and Bollywood. Fardeen made his debut with ‘Prem Aggan’ and has since starred in various movies. In the past few years, his on-screen appearances have severely declined, and the actor was recently trolled for weight gain, for which he slammed the trolls in the most epic way possible.
Dino Morea made his on-screen debut with the 1999 Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi and was seen on-screen frequently till 2010. The actor has since disappeared from the big screen and is now focusing on organising events and will soon be seen in the Dostana sequel.
