The first teaser of the much awaited Riteish Deshmukh-Nargis Fakri movie, Banjo is out today, and we can't help but gush over it. Here are a few reasons that make us eagerly look forward for the movie to release:
The first reason has to be the best and what better than watching Banjo for the love of Riteish Deshmukh, and appreciation for his acting skills. Riteish’s acting chops have always been admired irrespective of the genre of the film. Be it a comic role, which he has done aplenty, or a negative role like that in Ek Villain, Ritesh has always outperformed himself with his own skills. Dabbling between Marathi and the Hindi cinema, Riteish, who is a producer of the most acclaimed Marathi films, with each of his script choices have proved that content is the king and he is what content does to him. Riteish in the few glimpses provided in the teaser, manages to impress the viewers with his dialogue delivery and his suave acting style.
Who better than Abhishek Bachchan to give an intro to Banjo and his world! While Riteish and Abhishek have worked together in Housefull 3, it came as a surprise to Riteish when he found that Abhishek had lent his voice for the teaser. Not only does he introduce the audiences to Banjo, but highlights that he is the Bachchan of Banjo’s world. Abhishek Bachchan calling Riteish ‘the Bachchan of Banjo’s world’ even the more gives us reason to look forward to the film.
A film is not just entertaining because of it star cast, but also because it has dumdaar dialogues and songs to make an impact. And what better introduction for a heroic entry than this one- “Iska Haath Agar Aadmi Pe Padhe, Toh Aadmi Hil Jata Hain. Aur Agar Iska Haath Banjo Pe Padhe, Toh Bhi Aadmi Hil Jaata Hai.” The dialogue makes even the more impact with Ritesh packing a punch on screen.
Nargis Fakri and Riteish together make a very unusual pair. Nargis donning traditional attire, and wearing tribal jewellery makes her look quite remarkable in the teaser. Together though the two look odd, but somehow odd is looking better than even. Tired of watching the clichéd pairs in Bollywood, the Nargis-Riteish jodi somehow makes believe that the two will create magic.
