Pakistani actor Saba Qamar, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Irrfan Khan's film 'Hindi Medium', is making waves for all the wrong reasons. A two-year-old video of a talk show, titled 'Good Morning Zindagi', in which the actress is seen voicing some not so tasteful remarks about a few Bollywood actors, has surfaced on the net. The actress is seen taking jabs at Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, Riteish Deshmukh and Hrithik Roshan among others.
In a particular segment of the video clip (posted on YouTube in May 2015), the host Noor Bukhari is seen showing a few picture slides of a few Bollywood actors and Saba is asked to answer a few questions pertaining to them. The questions are quite harmless but it’s the answers that are eyebrow raising.
While comments on all the actors, barring Ranbir Kapoor, were not so pleasing, her particular comment on the 'Sultan' actor, Salman Khan, has stuck out as a sore thumb. In the video clip she not only labels 'Sallu Bhai' as 'chichora' (cheap) but mocks his popular dance steps as well. This has clearly not gone down well with the fans.
As mentioned earlier, Saba Qamar will foray into Bollywood with director Saket Chaudhary's film 'Hindi Medium', which is scheduled for a worldwide release on 12 May 2017. Jointly produced by Maddock Films and T-Series, the film has actor Irrfan Khan essaying the role of a Punjabi man who deals in designer clothes. We might not be in a position to predict the reception that this film will be met with at the box office but this thing is for sure that this controversy has thrown her into the limelight. You know what they, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
