At the recently concluded 60th San Francisco International Film Festival, Bollywood cine-goers got great news to rejoice with. Yes, after Hollywood director Brett Ratner expressed his desire to make ‘Rush Hour’ one day with SRK in India, SRK happily obliged and said he wants Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan to shoot in India.
Shah Rukh Khan was asked if he would agree to make a film like a Rush Hour sequel with Brett Ratner if the latter approached him. To which, Bollywood’s King Khan smilingly said yes. And interestingly, he did put a CONDITION to this situation which we all think is the best he could bargain with the director. Shah Rukh Khan was quoted as saying, “Yes, whenever he has a film. He asked me, ‘What role should I pen you in?’ And I said, ‘it can be whichever role and I’ll do it’. But we’ll see how things go. But one thing I did request him to do — whether it’s with me or not – is to get Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker to shoot in India because Rush Hour is all over the world.”
Adding to the excitement quotient of Shah Rukh Khan doing Rush Hour for his millions of his fans, he added, “And it’s high time that such a wonderful and beautiful action-comedy film came to India. I’ll get involved in some way or the other. I’ll do the production for him if I am not acting. I’ll be seeing him again and would love to discuss the aspects of bringing American screenplay writing and other stuff down to India. I will also ask him to help Indian film-makers gain access to it.”
The actor was given a special tribute at the renowned film festival where famous Hollywood director did compliment the actor that “he smells very delicious”. Well, all that makes every Shah Rukh fan happy but we all are definitely waiting for the ‘Rush Hour’ to happen sooner!
