When and how did you start your Bollywood journey?

It’s been a crazy journey full of learning. I have matured as a person so far and there is more to come. I came to Mumbai in May 10, 2009 and I started giving auditions and got ads like Colgate, KFC Volkswagen etc. My first movie was ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, where I played Shonty's character. The film did exceptionally well and everyone loved my worked. And then A Man’s World happened which was Yash Raj's first web series which was a different concept. The response was great and then ‘A Flying Jatt’ happened. I was fortunate enough to work with the entire cast.

Did you plan or follow a strategy for your career?

No. There was no strategy. I always thought, I will get into commercials, as I did not want to get into Television. Television was not a problem but I wanted to focus on films. So I thought maybe if I start with Ads people will notice me. All the Ads that I have got were performance based. And then I got many performance based Ads and because that I got more such performance based work than look based and that how I got my first film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’.

How did A Flying Jatt Happen?

Remo sir had seen me in lot of Ads and in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ as well. He was very keen on casting me into his film I did not have to give an audition for ‘Flying Jatt’.

So currently you are focusing on- Television, Web series or Films?

I want to do good work  and work on great scripts. I want to work with people who have the same wavelength as mine. I have been very fortunate so far I have always worked with people who were happy with my performance and I was happy with them. My director Shashank Khaitan is like a brother to me. I hang out with Man’s world director Vikram Gupta and Remo sir off course he is one of the best people I know.

Any wish list of directors you want to work with?

Yes I do... I just loved Raju Hirani sir because I love 3 idiots and other films he had done. Imtiyaz Ali sir because I love his work also he is very intense. Rockstar was one the best films he has made in Bollywood.

And what about leading ladies…

Well I want to work with all of them… Right from Katrina to Anushka it will be like a dream come true. It will be great if it happens. I have recently worked with Jacqueline and I asked her from where do you get this energy? She said ,“I just drink one cup of coffee a day.” I was like does that work for you? To which he said, “Yes!.” I would also like to work with Alia Bhatt, she is a brilliant actor.

Tell us some behind the scenes of A Flying Jatt?

Yes! So it was Tiger's birthday. When the shoot was over every one was excited that a cake will be cut and we will wish tiger and eat the cake. So when someone offered Tiger cake he just smelled the cake and said I will not have the cake I am on diet. So the whole team had to eat the entire cake.
